FAQ
Questions before installing or buying Tyrix.
Short answers for languages, licensing, activation, updates, providers, privacy, refunds, and support.
What is Tyrix?
Tyrix is a dual-pane desktop workspace for files that live in many different places. It brings local folders, remote storage, archives, encrypted vaults, trash, and search results into one consistent workflow and provides practical tools for moving, finding, syncing, renaming, previewing, and auditing file operations.
Which interface languages are available?
Tyrix can be used in English, Hungarian, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish, and Simplified Chinese. English and Hungarian are maintained directly; the additional translations are machine generated and may contain wording issues.
Can I use Tyrix offline?
Tyrix is a desktop application. You can browse and operate on local files without an active internet connection. Activation, checkout, update checks, license lookup, and remote providers require network access when you use them.
Which providers are supported?
Tyrix exposes local files, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, SMB, WebDAV, S3-compatible object storage, archives, search results, trash, and TxVault containers through one panel model. Some operations remain provider-, server-, permission-, or platform-dependent.
What is TxVault?
TxVault is an encrypted, crash-safe container for protecting private files, backing up sensitive data to the cloud, and creating secure USB drives.
Does Tyrix support cloud storage?
Tyrix supports S3-compatible object storage and WebDAV. Exact behavior depends on the configured service, server capabilities, and account permissions.
Why is an action unavailable for some locations?
Some actions depend on the provider, server permissions, operating system, file type, or whether the panel is showing a virtual location such as search results, trash, or an archive. Tyrix hides or disables actions that do not apply to the current location.
How is a license delivered?
Payment is handled through Stripe Checkout. After a successful checkout, Tyrix creates the license and sends activation information to the checkout email address.
What happens when the trial expires?
Tyrix remains usable as a local file manager. Local panels, basic local file operations, local search, viewers, the editor, local attribute editing, local terminal, TxVault, local archives, settings, profile import/export remain available. Remote providers, SSH terminal sessions, background execution, batch tools, operation sequences, compare/sync, Git, integrations, user commands, and advanced tools require an active trial or license.
Which payment methods are supported?
The public checkout uses Stripe-hosted Checkout. Card payment is the primary supported method; any additional payment methods shown during checkout depend on Stripe, your country, and the configured checkout options.
How many computers can I activate?
Individual can be activated on 2 computers. Team 5 supports up to 10 computers, Team 10 supports up to 20 computers, and Team 25 supports up to 50 computers.
Can I move my license to another computer?
Yes. If you need to move an activation to another computer, contact support from the checkout email address so the license can be found and adjusted.
How are updates handled?
Tyrix can be updated free of charge during the update period defined by the purchased license. You can check for available updates from inside the application. New versions are available under the Download menu item.
What happens when my update period expires?
You can keep using the last Tyrix version covered by your license. Downloading newer versions requires an active update period or a renewed license package.
How do I install Tyrix themes?
Download the theme pack from the Themes page and unzip it. In Tyrix, open Settings > Appearance > Custom themes, click Import, select one or more .tyrixtheme files, then select an imported theme and click Apply. Use the dialog's bottom Apply or OK button to save the appearance settings.
What should I do if the activation email is missing?
Check spam or junk folders first. If it is still missing, contact support from the checkout email address so the purchase can be found.
Where are provider credentials stored?
Saved provider accounts use local secure credential storage. If secure credential storage is unavailable on a platform, saving those accounts is unavailable.
Does Tyrix store payment card details?
No. Card details are handled by Stripe-hosted Checkout. Tyrix stores only the checkout, license, activation, support, and refund information needed to operate the license service.
What license and checkout data is stored?
Tyrix may store the name and email address provided by Stripe, selected plan, purchase identifiers, license identifiers, activation status, support correspondence, and refund handling records. This data is used for license fulfillment, activation support, purchase lookup, fraud and abuse prevention, refunds, and legally required accounting records.
How do refunds work?
You have the right to withdraw. This means you can cancel the contract within 14 days without providing any justification. If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, please send your declaration to support@tyrix.app. Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method.
What should I send when reporting a problem?
Create a support bundle inside Tyrix and attach it to your email. The bundle is created locally and is not sent automatically, so you can review it before sending. Add a short description and the steps needed to reproduce the issue.
